Toronto Raptors president Masai Ujiri has emerged as a potential target for the Atlanta Hawks as they look to reshape their front office, according to Marc Stein.

Ujiri, widely respected for building Toronto’s 2019 championship team, is believed to be in the final year of his contract, though his exact status hasn’t been made public.

Ujiri has been with the Raptors for over a decade and is known as one of the NBA’s top executives. Despite Toronto’s recent struggles, he remains committed to bringing another title to the franchise, as stated in a press conference this April.

Atlanta, meanwhile, is undergoing a major front office overhaul after firing GM Landry Fields following a disappointing season. Onsi Saleh is serving as interim GM, but the team is searching for a long-term leader.

In addition to Ujiri, the Hawks are also considering high-profile player agents such as Austin Brown (Trae Young’s agent) and Alex Saratsis (who represents Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo) for the top executive role.
