Veteran shooting guard Evan Fournier, currently amid a EuroLeague title pursuit with Greek powerhouse Olympiacos, recently opened up about various chapters of his basketball journey, including his turbulent tenure with the New York Knicks.

In a wide-ranging interview with Donatas Urbonas of BasketNews.com, Fournier reflected candidly on his experiences, offering insight into both his professional challenges and aspirations.

Fournier, a seasoned international player and French national team standout, spent two and a half seasons with the Knicks, where his role fluctuated significantly.

What began as a promising opportunity ultimately turned into a frustrating stint marked by inconsistent minutes and limited involvement, especially during his final year with the team.

After falling out of New York’s regular rotation, he was eventually traded and finished the 2023–24 NBA season with the Detroit Pistons.

Now revitalizing his career overseas, Fournier has embraced a new chapter with Olympiacos, one of Europe’s most storied clubs.

Competing at a high level in the EuroLeague, he is aiming to help the team capture a championship while proving that he still has plenty to offer on the court.

His move to Europe has not only re-energized his play but also provided him with a platform to reflect on the ups and downs of his NBA career with greater perspective.
