Chicago Bulls star guard Lonzo Ball’s return to the court has been delayed since February 28 due to a sprained right wrist, and while he was unable to make his long-awaited comeback, he clarified that surgery won’t be necessary for the injury, according to K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network.
The 2024-25 season marked yet another setback in a career already marred by injuries, including a prolonged absence of two and a half seasons caused by a knee issue.
However, in an optimistic update, the player revealed that his knee, which had previously kept him sidelined, actually performed “better than expected.”
Looking ahead, Ball expressed eagerness for a more typical offseason, one where his focus can shift away from rehabilitation and back to preparation for the next season.
Reflecting on his progress, he added: “I went above the goals I set for myself (physically).”
Ball has played 6 seasons for the Bulls, Pelicans, and Lakers. He has averaged 11.4 points, 5.8 assists, and 5.5 rebounds in 287 regular-season games.
