Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal was sidelined for the seventh straight game on Sunday as he continues to recover from a left hamstring strain.
According to Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic, Beal is making a strong effort to return as soon as possible.
“He wants to get back,” rookie guard Ryan Dunn said over the weekend. “He’s working his butt off.”
Beal’s absence comes at a challenging time for the Suns, who are currently 1.5 games behind a Play-In Tournament spot.
Adding to their struggles, the team will also be without their leading scorer, Kevin Durant, for at least the next three games as he recovers from a left ankle sprain.
Phoenix faces a tough remaining schedule as they fight to secure a postseason berth.
Beal has played 13 seasons for the Wizards and the Suns. He has averaged 21.6 points, 4.3 assists, and 4.1 rebounds in 796 regular-season games.
He was selected to play in 3 All-Star games.
