Jaden Hardy scored 22 points off the bench as the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Orlando Magic 101-92 on Thursday night.
Hardy made five of his six three-point attempts, including three in a 90-second stretch in the third quarter that helped Dallas pull away.
Anthony Davis added 15 points and seven rebounds, playing slightly over his minutes restriction in just his third game since being traded from the Los Angeles Lakers on February 2.
Brandon Williams and Max Christie also contributed from the Mavericks’ bench with 14 and 12 points, respectively, while Klay Thompson finished with 12.
Paolo Banchero led all scorers with 35 points and 10 rebounds, but Orlando struggled from beyond the arc, making just 5 of 30 attempts.
Franz Wagner added 20 points and nine rebounds for the Magic, who have now lost seven of their last eight home games.
The Mavericks’ bench outscored Orlando’s reserves 57-19, with Hardy’s scoring burst proving to be the difference late in the game.
With Dallas leading by just six, Hardy banked in a three-pointer with 1:53 remaining to extend the lead and secure the victory.
The Mavericks shot 47.8% (11-of-23) from three-point range, while the Magic managed only 16.7% from deep.
Dallas (36-38) moved a half-game ahead of Phoenix for 10th place in the Western Conference, keeping their play-in hopes alive.
Orlando (35-39) remained in eighth place in the East despite having the same record as the Mavericks entering the game.
