New Orleans Pelicans assistant coach Dan Geriot was appointed as the head coach of Iona on Thursday.
The 36-year-old has a decade of experience as an assistant coach in the NBA.
Before joining the Pelicans for a season, Geriot dedicated nine years to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
