Stephen Curry powered the Golden State Warriors to a hard-fought 97-94 win over the New York Knicks on Saturday night, delivering 28 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.

Golden State (39-28) secured its seventh straight victory, maintaining its hold on the sixth seed in the Western Conference standings. New York (42-24) saw its two-game winning streak snapped despite Karl-Anthony Towns’ 29-point, 12-rebound effort.

Curry, just days after becoming the first player in NBA history to reach 4,000 made three-pointers, knocked down four more from deep. He also celebrated his 37th birthday on Friday, showing no signs of slowing down.

Head coach Steve Kerr made history by securing his 558th regular-season win, passing late Hall of Famer Al Attles for the most in franchise history.

Jimmy Butler contributed 11 points, seven assists, and six rebounds, continuing to impact both ends of the floor. Golden State has gone 14-2 since his debut on February 8, further solidifying its playoff positioning.

The game remained tight throughout, with the teams separated by just one point after the first quarter. The Warriors managed to outscore the Knicks 22-19 in the second, entering halftime with a four-point cushion.

Towns kept New York in contention, hitting a clutch three-pointer with 4:38 remaining before fouling out. He had set the tone early by dunking over Butler in the opening minutes.

Mikal Bridges and Miles McBride each added 19 points for the Knicks, while OG Anunoby had 23 points and nine rebounds. New York outrebounded Golden State 49-45 but struggled from deep, shooting 9-for-24 (37.5%) from three.

The Warriors had difficulties from long range as well, finishing just 13-for-41 (31.7%). However, they held their defensive ground in the final minutes to secure the victory.

Gui Santos earned his second career start. Brandin Podziemski remained sidelined with a lower back strain but could return Tuesday against Denver.
