The New York Knicks (41-23) snapped their three-game skid with a commanding 133-104 victory over the Sacramento Kings (33-31) on Monday night.
Playing without All-Star guard Jalen Brunson, New York relied on balanced scoring and strong defense to secure the road win. Karl-Anthony Towns led the way with 26 points and nine rebounds, while OG Anunoby added 24 points and eight assists.
Miles McBride, stepping up in Brunson’s absence, had his best performance of the road trip with 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting. Josh Hart contributed 18 points and six rebounds, while Mikal Bridges added 15 points and eight assists.
New York set the tone early, outscoring Sacramento 37-22 in the first quarter and never looked back. The Knicks hit 22 three-pointers at a 55% clip while holding the Kings to just 41.9% shooting from the field.
Sacramento, already without Domantas Sabonis and Malik Monk, struggled to keep pace. Zach LaVine led the team with 17 points, while DeMar DeRozan had 11 points and five assists. Jonas Valanciunas recorded 10 points and 13 rebounds but was limited by foul trouble.
The Kings never recovered from their slow start and trailed by as many as 34 points in the second half. New York’s defense forced 16 turnovers and turned them into 22 points.
