Giannis Antetokounmpo recorded his seventh triple-double of the season, and the Milwaukee Bucks secured a 127-121 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night. The two-time MVP finished with 26 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists as Milwaukee extended its winning streak to three games.
Damian Lillard contributed 23 points, helping the Bucks improve to 35-25 and remain tied with the Indiana Pacers for fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings. The win also marked Milwaukee’s seventh victory in its last eight outings.
Trae Young led the Hawks (28-34) with 28 points and 13 assists, while Caris LeVert added 21 points off the bench. Atlanta, which came off a last-second win against Memphis on Monday, struggled to close out the game in the final minutes.
Neither team led by more than eight points throughout the night, as both offenses kept pace with each other. LeVert hit a clutch three-pointer to tie the game at 121, but Brook Lopez responded with a dunk to put the Bucks back in front.
Following a missed jumper by Young, Lillard capitalized with a layup to extend Milwaukee’s lead to four. Atlanta failed to score again, sealing the Bucks’ victory.
Lopez finished with 13 points and a season-high 13 rebounds, while Kyle Kuzma added 17 points and 10 boards despite being listed as doubtful before the game. Kevin Porter Jr. provided a spark off the bench, scoring 12 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter.
For Atlanta, Mouhamed Gueye delivered 15 points and five rebounds, knocking down four three-pointers. Zaccharie Risacher, who was named Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month earlier in the day, was held to just seven points on 3-of-10 shooting.
The Hawks made roster adjustments before the game, signing Dominick Barlow to a multi-year contract while terminating Kevon Harris’ 10-day deal. They also signed Jacob Toppin to a two-way contract.
Milwaukee shot 51% from the field but struggled from beyond the arc, hitting just 29.7% of its three-point attempts. The Hawks countered with 39% shooting from deep but were outscored 18-13 in the final four minutes.
