After initially playing a limited role in his first three games with the Dallas Mavericks, center Moses Brown significantly elevated his performance during the final two contests of his 10-day contract.

In his most notable performance, Brown registered an impressive 20 points, 11 rebounds, three steals, and two blocks in 31 minutes of action during a victory over the Charlotte Hornets last week.

Unfortunately, Brown’s contract expired Saturday night, and due to the Mavericks’ hard cap situation, they are unable to re-sign him or any other players until April 10. Despite this, Brown’s impact was evident, and he left a lasting impression during his brief stint with the team.

“He was great,” Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd said of Brown, as reported by Grant Afseth of Dallas Hoops Journal.

“Moses gave us a spark, gave us a big (presence) at the rim. We needed someone at the rim, and he did a really good job for us. He’ll probably get another 10-day from someone. And give him credit for coming out as a pro and helping us find a way to win.”

Brown’s efforts over the past few games have certainly earned him praise, and it seems likely that other teams will take note, offering him another 10-day contract in the near future.
