The Atlanta Hawks are securing Dominick Barlow for the long term. NBA insider Shams Charania reported that the team is converting the 21-year-old forward’s two-way contract into a two-year standard NBA deal.

Barlow is in his third NBA season after spending the past two years with the San Antonio Spurs. He joined Atlanta on a two-way deal and has since made an impression with his development.

In 18 games with the Hawks this season, Barlow has averaged 2.9 points and 1.6 rebounds in just 7.8 minutes per contest. While his role in Atlanta has been limited, he has excelled in the G League.

Playing for the College Park Skyhawks, Barlow has put up 20 points and 8.4 rebounds per game across 18 appearances. His strong performances have earned him a chance to solidify a spot in the Hawks’ rotation.

Atlanta currently holds a 27-33 record and sits 9th in the Eastern Conference. With the team fighting for a play-in spot, Barlow’s energy and versatility could provide valuable depth.

Standing at 6-foot-9 with a 7-foot-3 wingspan, Barlow brings size and defensive potential to Atlanta’s frontcourt. His ability to run the floor and crash the boards makes him a solid developmental piece.
