The New York Knicks will be eligible to add a 15th player to their roster as soon as Friday, as previously reported. Among the potential candidates on their radar is free-agent forward T.J. Warren, who is currently playing for the team’s G League affiliate, the Westchester Knicks.

Warren has been using his time in the G League to regain his rhythm and showcase his ability as he works toward an NBA return. As noted by SNY’s Ian Begley, the veteran forward has been impressive, setting a Westchester franchise record with a 47-point performance this season.

He is currently averaging 24.9 points per game while shooting 35.7% from three on 8.4 attempts per contest.

For Warren, this opportunity is about more than just stats – it’s about proving his health and getting back into the flow of the game.

“It’s been a blessing,” Warren shared in an interview with SNY. “I just wanted to get some reps and get in the flow of playing basketball again and just show health.

“It’s been great being out here, mentoring the guys, just kind of showing them my experiences and teaching them the right way and having fun with it. Take advantage of every day. No wasted days.”

As the Knicks evaluate their roster options, Warren’s experience and scoring ability make him a strong candidate for a potential call-up.
