Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Desmond Bane combined for 82 points as the Memphis Grizzlies edged out the Phoenix Suns 151-148 in overtime on Tuesday night.
Morant finished with 29 points and eight assists, including a key pass to Jaylen Wells for a dunk with 9.1 seconds left in overtime.
Jackson scored 28 points before fouling out in the fourth quarter, while Bane added 25 points and nine assists as Memphis (38-20) pulled into a tie for second in the Western Conference with Denver.
The Suns (27-31) had five players score at least 20 points for the first time since 1990, led by Devin Booker’s 28 points and 10 assists.
Kevin Durant had 26 points, Bradley Beal posted 24 points and a season-high 11 assists, Bol Bol set a season-best with 23 points, and Grayson Allen chipped in 21.
Phoenix led 148-144 with 1:17 left in overtime after a jumper from Durant, but Santi Aldama responded with a three-pointer to cut the deficit to one.
Brandon Clarke’s tip-in gave the Grizzlies a 149-148 lead with 37.6 seconds remaining before Morant set up Wells to extend the advantage to three.
Durant missed two potential game-tying threes in the final four seconds, sealing Memphis’ victory.
Morant had taken over late in regulation, scoring the Grizzlies’ last 11 points, including a floater with 1.4 seconds left to send the game to overtime.
The back-and-forth contest featured 22 ties and 23 lead changes, with Phoenix briefly holding a 10-point lead in the third quarter.
