The Minnesota Timberwolves are set to receive a significant boost as they gear up for the final stretch of the regular season and their playoff push.
Key players Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo are nearing their return from injuries, which could significantly lift the team’s depth and performance.
Both players are progressing well in their recoveries and have a chance to make their comeback at some point during the Timberwolves’ ongoing road trip, which concludes on Sunday.
Randle, a seasoned forward, has been sidelined for nearly a month due to a groin strain.
Before his injury, he played in 48 games and was a crucial contributor for Minnesota, averaging 18.9 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per contest.
His scoring ability, rebounding presence, and playmaking will be welcomed as the Timberwolves look to solidify their positioning in the Western Conference.
Meanwhile, DiVincenzo has been out of action since mid-January after suffering a toe injury.
Before the setback, the versatile combo guard had worked his way into the Wolves’ starting lineup, playing an important role on both ends of the floor.
Through the season so far, DiVincenzo has posted averages of 11.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game.
Notably, he had just broken out of a shooting slump before the injury, making his impending return even more promising for the team’s offensive flow.
With both Randle and DiVincenzo nearing full health, the Timberwolves could soon have a more complete roster as they push toward the playoffs.
