Rutgers point guard Dylan Harper has made a bold statement regarding the debate over who is the NBA’s Greatest of All Time (GOAT), declaring LeBron James as the undisputed leader. The rising star praised James for his exceptional career and longevity, positioning the 40-year-old as the best to ever play the game.

Harper, son of former NBA player Ron Harper, shared his opinion on social media, revealing his personal admiration for the Lakers star. “I know my dad hates when I say it but he’s the greatest to do it in my opinion,” Harper said, according to NBA insider Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson.

While Harper’s father, who played with Michael Jordan during their time together with the Chicago Bulls, may not agree, the younger Harper made a strong case for James’ legacy.

Harper expanded on his reasoning, highlighting James’ longevity and how the four-time NBA champion maintains peak performance despite his age. “Longevity, how he treats himself, how he goes about his business,” Harper said. These attributes, he believes, are what set James apart from other all-time greats.

At 40 years old, James continues to defy age, playing in his 22nd season in the NBA. His stats remain impressive as ever, averaging 24.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 8.8 assists per game in 34.6 minutes of action.

The debate over the GOAT has been ongoing for years, often revolving around two of the game’s biggest legends: LeBron James and Michael Jordan.
