Cade Cunningham made history for the Detroit Pistons by earning a selection to the 2025 NBA All-Star Game, becoming the franchise’s first All-Star since Blake Griffin in 2019.

Additionally, he became the first Detroit guard to receive the honor since Allen Iverson in 2009, highlighting his growing status as a cornerstone player for the team, notes Hunter Patterson of The Athletic.

Cunningham embraced the experience of making his All-Star debut, relishing the opportunity to compete among the league’s best players.

However, he made it clear that he views this as just the beginning of his All-Star journey, expressing confidence that he will return to the prestigious event multiple times throughout his career.

“It’s cool, man. This is what I planned on, though,” he said. “This is what I saw for myself. To be in this position now is a great feeling, but there’s definitely more steps to climb. I’m looking forward to the rest of the season and all the things to come.”
