February 17th (San Francisco, CA) — adidas Basketball shined during NBA All-Star Weekend with a series of exciting events and activations that celebrated the brand’s rich legacy in sport and culture and its commitment to shaping the future of the sport. From a homecoming for adidas athlete Damian Lillard, to an exclusive Superstar party, to reveals of new signature performance models, the history and future of adidas was on full display.

Kicking off the weekend’s festivities, NBA superstar and adidas signature athlete Damian Lillard made a triumphant return to Oakland High School for a full day of community engagement, celebration, and inspiration. The visit, filled with heartfelt moments and hometown pride, included a special school assembly and Senior Night hosted by Dame, capped off with live performances by next generation Bay Area artists Kamaiyah, 310babii, and John Mackk. 

The following night, adidas Basketball threw an exclusive Superstar Party in the heart of San Francisco, hosted by the nine-time NBA All-Star, Damian Lillard, drawing some of the biggest names in the game. The event celebrated both the brand’s storied history and its innovation for the future of basketball. Saweetie, GloRilla, Brent Faiyez, and Murda Beatz joined the celebration alongside adidas athletes Anthony Edwards, James Harden, Candace Parker, and more, as the event spotlighted the iconic adidas Superstar sneaker and its lasting influence on basketball culture. In a special moment, Damian Lillard was honored with the brand new A-TYPE adidas Superstar, paying tribute to his incredible career and his deep connection to the Bay.

adidas Basketball made a statement with the release of four new shoes, blending innovation, style, and on-court performance. Headlining the lineup were the highly anticipated debuts of the Dame X and D.O.N. Issue #7, signature models built to elevate the games of Damian Lillard and Donovan Mitchell. Adding to the excitement, Anthony Edwards’ explosive Anthony Edwards 1 arrived in a bold “Pre-Loved Lime” colorway, while James Harden’s Harden Vol. 9 turned heads in the striking “Dynamo” edition.

Anthony Edwards made waves during the weekend by rolling through the streets of San Francisco in a custom peach-colored trolley, bringing his signature energy to the city. Further igniting the buzz,, he made an appearance at the Anthony Edwards 1 “Believe That” event at Foot Locker, connecting with fans on-site and recreating his viral lie detector test, bringing his signature humor and charisma.

On Saturday, February 15th, adidas Basketball athletes took center stage, participating in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest, 3-Point Contest, and Skills Challenge. adidas Basketball athletes and Cleveland Cavaliers teammates Evan Mobley and Donovan Mitchell won the Skills Challenge. This year also marked a historic moment for the brand, with six adidas athletes – Damian Lillard, Anthony Edwards, James Harden, Donovan Mitchell, Jalen Williams, Evan Mobely  competing in the NBA All-Star Game, further showcasing Three Stripes’ impact on the league’s biggest stage.

adidas also emphasized its bold vision for the future of the sport: “You Got This,” which celebrates moments of joy and connection, and reminds fans and athletes at all levels that sport is about finding joy in the game and letting go of the pressure.
