Draymond Green knows the Golden State Warriors have little room for error as they push for playoff positioning in the Western Conference. With 27 games left in the regular season, the veteran forward made it clear that every game matters.

“It’s a 27-game playoffs,” Green said, emphasizing the urgency the team must maintain after the All-Star break. His comments come as the Warriors fight to climb the standings, currently sitting in 10th place with a 28-27 record.

Golden State is tied with the ninth-seeded Sacramento Kings and remains 3.5 games behind the sixth-seeded Los Angeles Clippers. With a tightly packed race in the West, every win could be the difference between a guaranteed playoff spot and the Play-In Tournament.

Green also credited Jimmy Butler for elevating the team’s confidence since his arrival. “Shoutout Jimmy Butler,” Green said, acknowledging the impact of the veteran forward.

Butler has averaged 21.3 points, 7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists in 32.5 minutes per game since joining the Warriors. Golden State has gone 3-1 with him in the lineup, providing a much-needed boost as they try to solidify their postseason chances.

The Warriors have won six of their last ten games, showing signs of improvement but still needing a strong finish to secure a higher seed. Green, averaging 8.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 5.6 assists, remains a key defensive anchor and vocal leader during this stretch.

With playoff intensity already setting in, Golden State must approach each game with the urgency Green emphasized. The next few weeks will determine whether they can avoid the Play-In and secure a direct playoff berth.
