The Philadelphia 76ers and Washington Wizards have finalized a trade involving veteran guard Reggie Jackson and young playmaker Jared Butler, along with several draft assets. The Sixers will send Jackson and a 2026 first-round pick to Washington in exchange for Butler and four future second-round picks.
Philadelphia’s 2026 first-round selection will be the least favorable of the picks they currently own from the Los Angeles Clippers, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Houston Rockets. In return, the Wizards are sending second-round picks in 2027, 2028, and two selections in 2030 to the 76ers.
On the court this season, Jackson has averaged 4.4 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 12.4 minutes per game over 31 appearances for the Sixers. Butler, meanwhile, has contributed 6.9 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 11.3 minutes across 32 games for the Wizards.
This move adds depth and flexibility for both teams, as Washington gains veteran experience while Philadelphia bolsters its draft assets and incorporates Butler’s potential as a young guard.
