Deandre Ayton delivered a standout performance with 25 points and 20 rebounds, helping the Portland Trail Blazers (21-29) secure a 121-119 overtime victory against the Phoenix Suns (25-24) on Monday night. The win marked Portland’s fourth consecutive triumph.

Ayton’s dominant presence on both ends of the court was pivotal as the Blazers survived a late surge from the Suns. Deni Avdija chipped in with 24 points, while Toumani Camara added 17, including five 3-pointers. The Blazers’ collective effort sealed another thrilling win over Phoenix, following a 127-108 victory two nights earlier.

Phoenix mounted a comeback late in the game, with Devin Booker scoring 34 points, including a game-tying 3-pointer in regulation. The Suns were down by three with 4.4 seconds left when Booker was fouled on a 3-point attempt by Avdija. Booker made two free throws but missed the third, which Ayton rebounded to seal the win.

Kevin Durant finished with 27 points for Phoenix, while Bradley Beal added 25. The Suns’ 119 points weren’t enough to overcome Portland’s resilience in overtime.

In the extra period, Ayton continued to be a force, securing two offensive rebounds and making four free throws in the final moments. His clutch performance ensured the Blazers would extend their winning streak.

The Suns fought back after trailing for most of the game. Beal’s layup brought Phoenix within one point with 32.6 seconds remaining in OT, but Ayton’s free throws sealed the victory.

Portland’s fast-break game proved effective as they outscored Phoenix 21-12 in transition. The Blazers’ defense also limited the Suns to 35.7% from three-point range, despite Phoenix’s high-volume shooting.
