Devin Booker, a four-time All-Star (2020-2024), won’t be attending this year’s event in San Francisco unless he’s called as an injury replacement.

Speaking after Friday’s shootaround, Booker expressed he would’ve liked to be selected but acknowledged the many deserving players.

He added, “I’m definitely not going to complain about taking a week to regroup with the family,” according to Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic.

Although Booker’s shooting stats are slightly down (.444/.341/.893), his averages of 25.5 points and 6.7 assists per game remain above career averages.

Suns head coach Mike Budenholzer called Booker “clearly in our minds an All-Star,” and teammate Kevin Durant echoed that sentiment.

Durant also proposed expanding the All-Star rosters from 12 to 15 players to better reflect the talent pool, stating that many deserving players, like Kyrie Irving and Norman Powell, are being snubbed.

Booker supported the idea, pointing out other snubs like Trae Young and LaMelo Ball, adding, “The more talent in there, the better.”
