Two-time NBA champion Rajon Rondo shared a unique pre-game habit during his recent appearance on Run It Back on FanDuel TV, revealing that he would shower five times on game days throughout his playing career.

Speaking with Chandler Parsons and Lou Williams, Rondo described his meticulous routine, which involved showering at nearly every milestone of his day.

“I wake up, then I shower. Go to shootaround, shower. I’m gonna take my nap, get up, shower. Then I go play the game. Wait, now I got to warm up, right? 40 minutes on the clock, I take a shower, then I shower after the game,” Rondo explained, via HoopsHype.

Williams expressed his surprise at the revelation, exclaiming, “Come on dog!” while Parsons chuckled at the peculiar ritual. Rondo, however, stood by his game-day routine, explaining that it became an integral part of his mental preparation and physical recovery.

Rondo admitted that his habits have changed significantly since his retirement. He now showers twice a day, a far cry from the five-shower regimen that was part of his meticulous preparation during his NBA days.
