Anthony Edwards led the Minnesota Timberwolves (24-21) to a decisive 133-104 victory over the Denver Nuggets (28-17) on Saturday night. With 34 points, Edwards not only showcased his scoring ability but also became the franchise’s all-time leader in 3-pointers, surpassing Karl-Anthony Towns.

Minnesota took control early, scoring a season-high 40 points in the first quarter while shooting 69.2% from the floor. They carried an 11-point lead into halftime and pulled away in the second half, led by Edwards’ 23 points after the break. He finished the night shooting 14-for-23 from the field, including three triples.

Julius Randle added 21 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists for the Timberwolves. Rudy Gobert was dominant in the paint with 14 points and 14 rebounds, while Mike Conley contributed nine points and five assists. Minnesota’s bench provided crucial support, with Naz Reid and Rob Dillingham combining for 23 points.

The Nuggets, who entered the game riding a four-game winning streak, struggled to find rhythm. Jamal Murray paced Denver with 25 points on 10-of-16 shooting. Nikola Jokic added 20 points and 11 assists but managed just three rebounds, snapping his streak of five consecutive triple-doubles. Denver’s bench failed to make a significant impact, with no reserve scoring in double figures.

Minnesota’s defense held Denver to 13 fourth-quarter points, their lowest output of the game. The Timberwolves capitalized on their efficient shooting, making a season-high 53 field goals at a 55.8% clip. Their 46.7% shooting from beyond the arc was also a key factor in the blowout.
