The Minnesota Timberwolves guard Donte DiVincenzo recently underwent a medical evaluation by Dr. J. Chris Coetzee at Twin Cities Orthopedics.
This assessment, which involved a stress fluoroscopy of his left great toe, was performed following the recommendations of Dr. Richard Ferkel from the Southern California Orthopedic Institute and Dr. Robert Anderson from OrthoCarolina.
The results of the examination revealed that DiVincenzo is dealing with a stable turf toe injury, which includes a partial tear of the plantar ligament. Fortunately, surgery is not required for his condition at this time.
The player is scheduled for a follow-up evaluation in three weeks, at which point further updates on his recovery and progress will be shared as they become available.
In his debut season with the Minnesota Timberwolves, DiVincenzo has been a reliable contributor, posting averages of 11.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game.
He has played in 40 games thus far, averaging 26.4 minutes per contest and maintaining a solid shooting percentage of 36.9% from beyond the three-point arc.
