The Indiana Pacers continued their winning ways with a 115-102 triumph over the injury-depleted Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night. Pascal Siakam led the charge with 21 points, including 10 in the decisive fourth quarter, while Myles Turner contributed a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Indiana, now 24-19, has climbed to fifth in the Eastern Conference after securing their second consecutive win and eighth victory in nine games.
Tyrese Maxey paced the 76ers with 28 points, but Philadelphia’s roster was missing key contributors Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Kyle Lowry due to injuries. The 76ers, struggling to find consistency, dropped to 15-25 and have now lost five straight games.
Despite the absences, Philadelphia kept the game competitive through three quarters. The Sixers trailed by just two points at halftime, 61-59, and closed within 79-76 late in the third quarter. However, Indiana’s 10-4 run to end the third period gave the Pacers control heading into the final frame.
Siakam’s fourth-quarter scoring spree sealed the win for Indiana. Contributions from the bench were also crucial, as players like Ben Sheppard and Aaron Nesmith each added 12 points.
Philadelphia’s effort was hampered further when rookie Justin Edwards fouled out early in the fourth quarter. Ricky Council IV posted a career-high 18 points, matching Kelly Oubre Jr., who also scored 18, but the 76ers were outmuscled on the boards, losing the rebounding battle 50-32.
Indiana’s dominance on the glass highlighted the impact of Myles Turner, whose 11 rebounds anchored the Pacers’ interior. The Pacers also forced 17 turnovers, capitalizing on Philadelphia’s mistakes to control the pace of the game.
