Quick notes on the 2026 NBA Draft with June now here.

  • Before the 2025-26 college basketball season, I saw Nate Ament (Tennessee) as high as 4th on mock drafts. However, he seemed to drop during the season, potentially falling later in the lottery.
  • It wasn’t until recently that Ament and the Brooklyn Nets at No. 6 could be a possible link. Matt Babcock’s latest 2026 NBA mock draft has the forward going to BKN.
  • Lastly, Babcock’s got Kingston Flemings at No. 5 to the Los Angeles Clippers. The former Houston point guard was only ranked 22nd on the 2025 SCNext Top 100, but quickly became an NBA lottery prospect once college hit. Although we know what prospects are in the 5-9 range, what teams they end up with could be different than most people think (former Louisville guard Mikel Brown Jr. now mocked lower at No. 13 to the Miami Heat was surprising).
