Andrew Wiggins led the Golden State Warriors to a 122-114 victory over the Washington Wizards on Saturday night at Chase Center. The forward recorded a season-high 31 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to help the Warriors improve to 21-20.

Stephen Curry added 26 points, including two late-game three-pointers that sealed the win, but left in the final minutes after injuring his left ankle.

Golden State entered the fourth quarter trailing 88-87 but took control with an 11-2 run midway through the final period. Curry’s back-to-back three-pointers gave the Warriors a double-digit lead with under three minutes remaining.

Jordan Poole, returning to Chase Center for the second time since being traded to Washington, delivered a stellar performance with 38 points on 12-of-25 shooting. He connected on eight three-pointers and became the first player from the 2019 draft class to reach 900 career three-pointers.

Despite Poole’s efforts, the Wizards dropped their ninth consecutive game, falling to a league-worst 6-34. Kyle Kuzma contributed 22 points and six rebounds, while rookie Alex Sarr added 11 points and nine boards.

Draymond Green’s return to the Warriors lineup was short-lived as he exited in the first quarter with left calf tightness. Meanwhile, Golden State’s bench provided a critical boost, with Moses Moody scoring 13 points and Kevon Looney pulling down 13 rebounds.

The Warriors shot 46.9% from the field and held a 55-44 edge on the boards, including 17 offensive rebounds that led to second-chance points. Despite shooting just 34.1% from beyond the arc, Golden State’s late-game execution proved decisive.

The Wizards made 22 three-pointers on an impressive 48.9% shooting from deep, but their 13 turnovers and inability to contain the Warriors’ offensive rebounding cost them the game.
