The Atlanta Hawks, despite being short-handed, defeated the Chicago Bulls 110-94 on Wednesday night, improving to 21-19 on the season. Guard Keaton Wallace delivered a career-high 27 points to lead Atlanta, nearly doubling his previous high of 14.

Wallace shot 10-of-18 from the field, including 4-of-7 from three-point range, while adding six assists and a +29 plus-minus rating. His early scoring surge included eight points in a decisive 15-0 second-quarter run that pushed the Hawks’ lead to 42-27.

Daeqwon Plowden, making his NBA debut, impressed with 19 points on 7-of-8 shooting, including five three-pointers. Dyson Daniels contributed 18 points and eight rebounds, while Onyeka Okongwu added 14 points, 13 boards, and seven assists in a well-rounded performance.

The Hawks, missing key players such as Trae Young, Jalen Johnson, and De’Andre Hunter, relied on strong contributions from their bench. Young, who is averaging 23.1 points and a league-leading 11.9 assists, sat out due to a bruised right rib suffered during Tuesday’s win over the Phoenix Suns.

Chicago, now 18-23, struggled offensively and has lost four of its last five games. Coby White led the Bulls with 16 points, followed by Zach LaVine with 15, and Nikola Vucevic, who posted a double-double with 14 points and 16 rebounds.

Atlanta controlled the game early, taking a 61-47 lead into halftime. Although the Bulls cut the deficit to five points in the third quarter, Atlanta responded with timely scoring and stifling defense.

Both teams struggled from beyond the arc, with the Hawks shooting 30.2% (13-of-43) and the Bulls connecting on just 22.2% (6-of-27). Atlanta’s dominance on the boards, highlighted by Okongwu’s 13 rebounds and a +14 edge in offensive rebounds, helped secure the win.

For Chicago, bench players like Ayo Dosunmu and Julian Phillips provided bright spots with 9 and 10 points, respectively. However, the Bulls’ 20 turnovers and lack of defensive cohesion hindered their chances of mounting a comeback.
