The Golden State Warriors secured a thrilling 107-104 win over the Detroit Pistons on Thursday night, improving to 19-18 on the season. Buddy Hield led the Warriors with 19 points, while Trayce Jackson-Davis added a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Golden State, coming off two lopsided home losses, bounced back with a much-needed win. The Warriors led by as many as 18 points but had to withstand a late rally by Detroit. Malik Beasley’s missed three-pointer at the buzzer ensured Golden State’s victory.

Detroit’s Cade Cunningham put up a stellar performance, scoring 32 points, dishing out eight assists, and grabbing six rebounds. Beasley contributed 21 points but struggled from beyond the arc, converting just 4 of his 14 attempts.

The Pistons, who had won five straight games and eight of their last nine, dropped to an even 19-19 on the season.

Steph Curry had an off night, shooting just 5-for-21 from the field and finishing with 17 points, but the Warriors got significant contributions from their supporting cast. Dennis Schroder and Gui Santos each scored 13 points, while Lindy Waters chipped in with 11.

Andrew Wiggins missed the game for personal reasons, and several key players, including Moses Moody and Jonathan Kuminga, were unavailable due to injuries. Despite these absences, the Warriors managed to hold off a determined Pistons squad.

Detroit faced its own challenges, playing without Jaden Ivey, who remains sidelined with a broken leg. Tobias Harris and Ron Holland combined for 24 points, but the Pistons fell short in their comeback attempt.

The Warriors shot 46.1% from the field and 32.6% from three-point range, while the Pistons shot 45.3% and 35.9%, respectively. Golden State dominated the glass, grabbing 49 rebounds compared to Detroit’s 40. Both teams committed 15 turnovers, but the Warriors capitalized on their defensive stops in key moments.
