Julius Randle recorded a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds, while Anthony Edwards contributed 21 points and seven assists, helping the Minnesota Timberwolves defeat the Orlando Magic 104-89 on Thursday night. The victory marked Minnesota’s third consecutive win and improved their record to 20-17.

Naz Reid provided a spark off the bench with 16 points, and Rudy Gobert added 10 points and 12 rebounds, dominating the paint for the Timberwolves.

Orlando, now 22-17, struggled offensively, shooting just 38% from the field. Goga Bitadze led the Magic with 15 points and eight rebounds, while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added 13 points. The team’s 6-for-30 performance from three-point range (20%) underscored their scoring challenges.

The Timberwolves showcased their depth, with Donte DiVincenzo chipping in 12 points and Mike Conley adding nine. Minnesota shot 43% from beyond the arc, converting 12 of their 28 attempts, while their defense stifled Orlando’s outside shooters.

The Magic are hopeful for reinforcements, as Paolo Banchero is expected to return Friday after missing 34 games with a torn right oblique.

Orlando’s bench saw mixed performances, with Jett Howard scoring 10 points but struggling to shoot efficiently, going 4-for-11 from the field. Wendell Carter Jr. added eight points and six rebounds but failed to provide a significant boost.
