The Miami Heat reportedly have ‘no interest’ in acquiring Bradley Beal’s contract as part of a potential trade with the Phoenix Suns involving Jimmy Butler, according to ESPN’s Bobby Marks.

Beal’s contract carries a significant financial commitment, with $110 million owed to him over the next two seasons.

For the Suns to proceed with their pursuit of Butler, they would likely need to involve a third team to facilitate the trade, as the Heat are constrained by their status as an ‘apron team’ – a designation that limits their ability to absorb additional salary.

Additionally, Miami is said to be actively exploring avenues to trade Butler as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors are reportedly no longer a realistic destination for the forward, eliminating another potential suitor.

Across the league, skepticism remains high regarding the likelihood of Butler being traded.

Trade restrictions, combined with the challenges of moving a contract of his size, have made it increasingly difficult for teams to construct a workable deal, as noted by Tim Bontemps of ESPN.
