Los Angeles Clippers star James Harden was initially listed as questionable but was ultimately ruled out for the team’s Thursday night matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to groin soreness.

According to Law Murray of The Athletic (via Twitter), this marks the second time in recent weeks that Harden has dealt with a groin issue, as he also missed a game last month because of a similar ailment.

If the injury isn’t worse than before, the Clippers hope Harden won’t miss much time. If similar to the last issue, he could return soon and availability won’t be impacted long.

The guard has had a storied 16-season career, playing for five different teams, including the Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder. Throughout 1,104 regular-season games, he has averaged 24.1 points, 7.1 assists, and 5.6 rebounds.

Harden’s impressive resume includes 10 All-Star selections, showcasing his consistent excellence on the court.

Additionally, he has earned one Sixth Man of the Year award and one MVP award, further cementing his legacy as one of the top players of his era.
