Cleveland’s shooting clinic tied their season-high of 22 three-pointers, with the team shooting an impressive 51.2% from beyond the arc. Donovan Mitchell chipped in 19 points, and Georges Niang provided a spark off the bench with 13 points. The Cavaliers have now won 16 of their 17 home games this season.
Tyrese Maxey paced Philadelphia with 27 points, scoring 13 in the third quarter alone, but his efforts weren’t enough to close the gap. Paul George managed just 11 points on 4-for-12 shooting, and Kelly Oubre Jr. contributed nine points in 27 minutes.
The 76ers struggled offensively without Joel Embiid, who sat out due to a sinus fracture and knee soreness after scoring 34 points in a win against Charlotte the night before.
Philadelphia’s rotation woes were exacerbated by the absence of rookie Jared McCain, who underwent knee surgery earlier this week.
The Cavaliers (25-4) will look to extend their winning streak when they face the Milwaukee Bucks next. Meanwhile, the 76ers (9-17) will attempt to bounce back in their next matchup against the Miami Heat.
