Cade Cunningham showcased his all-around brilliance on Saturday, leading the Detroit Pistons to an impressive victory over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

Cunningham delivered a stellar performance with 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 15 assists, cementing his role as the driving force behind his team’s success. After the game, he was asked about his chances of being an All-Star this season.

“I believe I am,” Cunningham responded confidently. “Whenever I’m on the court every night, I feel like I’m the best player. I try to do whatever it takes to help my team win, and my teammates have made me look great this year. I’m just trying to help my team win and we’ll see what happens with it.”

Pistons head coach J.B. Bickerstaff praised Cunningham for his leadership and versatility, particularly highlighting his defensive contributions.

Bickerstaff noted Cunningham’s improvement from the team’s previous game against the Boston Celtics, applauding his ability to step up when it mattered most.

“(Cade) set the tone for the game,” Bickerstaff said. “Defensively we asked him to guard (Jalen) Brunson. I thought he did a really good job of keeping him in front of him and containing him. He played a complete game tonight and I was proud of his effort.

“But to see the growth from game to game and the things we talked about in Boston, and to be able to carry it over to tonight, I thought, was really good.”

Cunningham’s standout performance underscores his potential as one of the NBA’s rising stars, with both his offensive and defensive contributions fueling Detroit’s promising victory.
