The Chicago Bulls forward Patrick Williams, who has been sidelined since November 18 due to inflammation in his surgically repaired left foot, will not be available for either game in the team’s upcoming back-to-back set, with matchups against San Antonio on Thursday and Indiana on Friday, as reported by K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Sports Network.
While Williams didn’t participate in team practice on Wednesday, he did engage in individual workouts, as head coach Billy Donovan shared.
Donovan provided some optimism about the player’s recovery, stating that the 23-year-old’s window for a potential return could open next week, depending on his progress.
Given that Williams has yet to rejoin full team practices, he might not be ready to return for Sunday’s game against Philadelphia. However, the Bulls will have four days off after that before hosting the Charlotte Hornets next Friday.
This extended break could allow the forward to ramp up his activity and rejoin the lineup for that game, offering a boost to the team as they prepare for a stretch of crucial matchups.
