Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George, continuing to manage his knee issues, sat out the second game of a back-to-back after a standout performance against the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday, where he recorded 29 points and eight assists in a victory.
Despite his precautionary rest, George is expected to suit up on Friday, providing a much-needed boost for the Sixers. His recent health improvements and strong play have been a source of optimism for the team as they aim to build momentum, according to Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Head coach Nick Nurse highlighted George’s impact on the court and within the team dynamic, saying, “He had the ball a lot, and he made some late. I think he gives our guys confidence, especially Tyrese, to have somebody else that he can go back and forth with a little bit. I think that gives us a lot of confidence.”
