The Toronto Raptors secured a rare win at home, defeating the Miami Heat 119-116 behind RJ Barrett’s 37-point performance on Sunday night. Barrett shot an efficient 15-of-20 from the field, including 3-for-4 from beyond the arc, and made all four free-throw attempts.

Scottie Barnes contributed a double-double with 23 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists, narrowly missing a triple-double. Jakob Poeltl added 17 points and 11 rebounds, while rookie Ja’Kobe Walter chipped in 12 points.

Tyler Herro led Miami with 31 points, hitting 6-of-12 three-pointers, but missed a critical game-tying three in the final seconds. Jimmy Butler added 17 points, and Bam Adebayo recorded 13 points and a season-high 20 rebounds in the loss.

The Heat struggled from deep, shooting 15-for-40 (37.5%) from three, a decline from their 21 made threes in Friday’s game against Toronto. Duncan Robinson, who shot 2-for-7 from beyond the arc, finished with eight points.

Miami’s bench provided support, with Terry Rozier scoring 17 points and Jaime Jaquez Jr. adding six points and three assists. However, the Heat’s inability to execute late cost them their chance for a third consecutive win.

Toronto’s victory marked its fifth home win of the season, improving to 5-4 at Scotiabank Arena. Barrett’s scoring outburst continued his strong form, as he topped 30 points for the third straight home game and the fifth time in seven contests.

The Raptors showed improved efficiency overall, shooting 53.4% from the field compared to Miami’s 44.3%. They also edged Miami on the glass, securing 47 rebounds to the Heat’s 45.

With the win, Toronto moved to 6-15 on the season, while Miami dropped to 9-9. The Raptors will look to build momentum as they face another home game later this week, hoping to climb out of their early-season struggles.
