Payton Pritchard is now in his fifth season with the Boston Celtics, and it’s hard to imagine that just a few years ago, he was requesting a trade due to limited playing time.

Since then, he has transformed into one of the most formidable bench players in the NBA. This season, he is averaging a career-high 15.6 points per game, while shooting an impressive 48.5% from the field and 44% from beyond the arc.

His development has not gone unnoticed, with teammate Jayson Tatum advocating for Pritchard to receive individual accolades.

“It’s been pretty cool to see him grow into the player that he is, being effective on a championship team,” Tatum commented. “And the things that he’s doing is Sixth Man of the Year worthy for me.”

Tatum’s praise highlights Pritchard’s evolution into a key contributor, with his scoring and efficiency making a significant impact on the team’s success.
