The Charlotte Hornets have signed guard Isaiah Wong to a two-way NBA contract, bolstering their roster amid ongoing injury challenges. Wong, previously with the Salt Lake City Stars of the G League, brings scoring prowess to the injury-plagued team.

NBA insider Shams Charania reported the move, highlighting Wong’s impressive G League performance this season, where he has averaged 24.1 points per game. The Hornets hope Wong’s offensive abilities will provide much-needed depth as they navigate their injury-filled roster.

Wong entered the league as the 55th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, selected by the Indiana Pacers. After signing a two-way contract with Indiana, Wong split his time between the NBA and the G League, showcasing his skills with the Indiana Mad Ants.

He made his NBA debut during the 2023 NBA In-Season Tournament final, where the Pacers faced the Los Angeles Lakers. Wong’s role was brief, as he played in the final minute of the game, but it marked a significant milestone in his career.

After his stint with Indiana, Wong signed with the Utah Jazz in September 2024 but was waived shortly after. He then joined the Salt Lake City Stars, where his scoring ability and versatility earned him recognition as a top performer in the G League.
