Los Angeles Lakers center Jaxson Hayes made his return to action on Tuesday after missing two weeks due to a right ankle sprain. However, in a frustrating turn of events, Hayes re-aggravated the same ankle injury in the final minute of Los Angeles’ loss to Phoenix.
According to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, Hayes was unable to continue and had to be assisted to the locker room. The Lakers have not provided a full update yet, but they plan to offer more information on Hayes’ condition during a Wednesday afternoon update.
