Orlando Magic star Franz Wagner talked about stepping up without Paolo Banchero & Wendell Carter Jr./growing as a player since his rookie year after last night’s 119-118 road win vs. the Los Angeles Lakers (37 points/6 rebounds/11 assists/4 steals/13-26 FG/4-10 3-PT/7-8 FT/+5 +/-).

“Obviously the situation was a special one for everybody on the team with guys being out, so obviously try to do my best to step into that new role and take on the challenge. I think I’ve come a long way since I came into the league. At first, I didn’t really play that much pick-and-roll. In my rookie season, got to try out a lot of stuff and was put in some new situations for me, too. Last year was, at times, a struggle for me. I think progress is never just linear, so I think it’s gonna continue to go up and down and stuff like that. I think it’s just a matter of staying level-headed throughout it.”
