Shaedon Sharpe delivered a standout performance with 32 points, including 11 in the closing minutes, as the Portland Trail Blazers secured a 114-110 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday night.

The win marked Portland’s third consecutive triumph, bringing their season record to 6-8.

Portland led 94-81 entering the final quarter, but the Hawks mounted a furious comeback. Trae Young’s three-pointer tied the game at 99, and Atlanta briefly took the lead with another long-range shot from Young, making it 102-101.

Sharpe responded with a shot-clock-beating three-pointer to put Portland ahead 109-108 with just over a minute remaining. The Blazers held off the Hawks in the final possessions to seal the victory.

Dalano Banton contributed 23 points for Portland, including a crucial third-quarter three-pointer that gave the Blazers their first lead at 77-76.

Robert Williams III came off the bench to add 14 points and eight rebounds, while Deni Avdija posted 12 points and eight boards.

Atlanta’s Trae Young led his team with 29 points and eight assists but struggled with six turnovers. Jalen Johnson added 25 points on efficient shooting, while Clint Capela grabbed eight rebounds. Despite their efforts, the Hawks fell to 6-8 on the season.

Sharpe energized the Blazers in the second half, slamming home three consecutive dunks during a pivotal third-quarter stretch. Portland outscored Atlanta 38-17 in the quarter, shifting momentum in their favor.

The Hawks fought back in the fourth, fueled by Young and bench contributions from Onyeka Okongwu, who added 11 points and 11 rebounds. However, Atlanta’s 25 turnovers, including 10 team steals by Portland, proved costly in the end.

Injury concerns loomed for both teams. Portland’s Deandre Ayton missed his third straight game with a finger contusion, while Anfernee Simons sat out due to illness.

Atlanta’s De’Andre Hunter was sidelined for right knee management but could return on Monday against Sacramento.
