De’Aaron Fox played a pivotal role in the Sacramento Kings’ 127-101 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night. Fox posted 29 points and 10 assists, leading the Kings to their second win in just four days against Phoenix.
Kevin Huerter contributed with a season-high 22 points, while Domantas Sabonis added 11 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists.
The Kings (7-5) dominated throughout, despite a spirited effort from the Suns, who were without key players Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal, and Grayson Allen.
Phoenix fought hard, with Josh Okogie stepping up to score a season-high 25 points and grab eight rebounds. Devin Booker also chipped in 18 points, but Phoenix (9-3) could not overcome Sacramento’s offensive firepower.
The game was mostly one-sided, with Sacramento leading by as much as 26 points. Phoenix made a push in the fourth quarter, trimming the deficit to five at 93-88 after Okogie’s layup with 10:22 remaining.
However, Fox quickly halted the Suns’ run with a clutch jumper followed by a three-pointer, restoring the Kings’ momentum.
Key to the Kings’ success was their perimeter shooting. Sacramento, who struggled from beyond the arc in their previous matchup, shot 11 of 22 from three-point range.
The Kings were efficient in their scoring, shooting 64.1% from the field, a key factor in their dominant performance. Along with Fox and Huerter, Keegan Murray contributed 17 points and shot 3 of 5 from beyond the arc.
Sacramento’s depth was evident, with bench players like Trey Lyles and Keon Ellis adding solid contributions as well.
