San Antonio Spurs big man Victor Wembanyama had an outstanding performance in Saturday’s narrow one-point loss, finishing with 24 points, 16 rebounds, and seven blocks, as noted by Michael C. Wright of ESPN.

The reigning Rookie of the Year, who had been struggling with his three-point shooting early in the season, showcased his scoring versatility by setting a new career high with six made three-pointers.

This remarkable achievement placed Wembanyama in elite company, as he became only the second player in NBA history to record at least six three-pointers and seven blocks in a single game.

The only other player to accomplish this feat was Brook Lopez, who achieved it in 2017. Wembanyama’s performance demonstrated his evolving skill set and potential, even though the Spurs fell short in the tight contest.
