The Brooklyn Nets have exercised their third-year team options on Noah Clowney and Dariq Whitehead, securing both players through the 2025-26 season. The team confirmed the decision, reported by NBA insider Michael Scotto.

Clowney, a 20-year-old sophomore, has made a strong impression early this season. Over the first three games, he has averaged 9 points and 4 rebounds in 17.3 minutes per game, showing an improvement from his rookie season stats of 5.8 points and 3.5 rebounds in 16.1 minutes.

Whitehead, also a 20-year-old sophomore, has seen limited action so far, appearing in one game this season. Despite going scoreless in two minutes of play, the Nets remain optimistic about his potential. In his rookie season, Whitehead played in just two games, where he averaged 1.5 points and 2 rebounds in 12 minutes, though he has been viewed as a long-term development project for Brooklyn.

By securing Clowney and Whitehead for another season, Brooklyn aims to provide both players with time and opportunity to grow within the team’s system.
