LeBron James and his eldest son, Bronny, are facing legal action related to a car crash from 2022. TMZ Sports reports that a lawsuit was filed against the Los Angeles Lakers players on Tuesday in Los Angeles County.
The lawsuit, submitted by plaintiffs April Almanza Lopez and Kiara Rae McGillen, claims they were driving on a highway in Littlerock, California, when the Jameses allegedly collided with their vehicle on November 13, 2022. The plaintiffs assert that the crash caused them injuries requiring ongoing medical treatment.
Lopez and McGillen also allege that their vehicle was damaged, resulting in a loss of value due to the accident. They are seeking unspecified damages in the lawsuit, which has not been publicly addressed by the Jameses.
The filing comes just hours before LeBron and Bronny made history by playing together for the first time in a regular-season game. The Lakers faced the Minnesota Timberwolves at Crypto.com Arena, winning 110-103.
Legal representatives for the plaintiffs have not yet responded to requests for comments regarding the suit. Meanwhile, the Jameses have remained silent on the matter, focusing on their basketball careers.
