Max Strus will miss at least six weeks due to a right ankle sprain, according to reports from NBA insider Shams Charania. The Cleveland Cavaliers announced the injury, impacting their roster depth as they progress through the season.

Strus signed a four-year, $63 million contract with the Cavaliers on July 6, 2023, as part of a sign-and-trade agreement. His addition was seen as a significant boost to Cleveland’s scoring capabilities.

His ability to deliver under pressure has made him a vital player for the Cavaliers. Last season, Strus averaged 12.2 points, shooting 41.8% from the field and 35.1% from beyond the arc.

Strus also contributed 4.8 rebounds and 4 assists in 32 minutes per game as a starter. His all-around skills and shooting prowess have been crucial to the Cavaliers’ success.
