After 15 NBA seasons, Danny Green has officially announced his retirement from professional basketball. The veteran wing will share this significant moment with fans during his podcast on Thursday.
Green is not just a notable player; he stands out as one of only four players in NBA history to achieve the remarkable feat of winning championships with three different teams.
His journey includes a championship victory with the San Antonio Spurs in 2014, followed by a triumphant run with the Toronto Raptors in 2019, and culminating in another title with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020.
Across his career, Green has been known for his defensive prowess and sharpshooting ability, making him a valuable asset on any team. He has played alongside some of the league’s biggest stars, contributing significantly to each championship run.
Throughout his career, he maintained a three-point shooting percentage of 40% on an impressive total of 3,946 attempts in the regular season.
In addition, he averaged 8.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.0 steals per game over 25.1 minutes of play. Green played in 832 regular-season games, starting in 709 of them.
