The Boston Celtics have officially signed guard Jay Scrubb to an Exhibit 10 contract, a strategic move aimed at finalizing their training camp roster.
Scrubb, who has been sidelined for the entire previous season due to a torn ACL, is looking to make a fresh start.
Before his injury, he had been poised to join the Celtics on a two-way contract, which would have allowed him to split his time between the NBA team and their G League affiliate.
Now fully recovered from his ACL surgery, Scrubb is ready to take the next steps in his professional basketball journey.
In addition to training with the Celtics, he is also anticipated to play for the Maine Celtics in the G League this season, providing him with the opportunity to gain valuable playing experience and showcase his skills.
Standing at 6 feet 4 inches, Scrubb is recognized as a versatile combo guard, capable of contributing to both guard positions.
