Terry Rozier is expected to be the starting point guard when the season opens. After dealing with a neck injury towards the end of last season and throughout the offseason, he has gained a new outlook on his basketball career.

Rozier expressed, “This whole offseason, when I first got hurt, I definitely appreciated the game way more than I ever did,” Rozier said, per Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald.

“That’s why I said everything happens for a reason. I really feel like this happened for a reason to make me lock back in, to focus. Now I’m just not looking back.”

Although his injury presented significant challenges, it also provided him with an opportunity to reassess his priorities and develop a deeper appreciation for the game.
